It was a nice, quiet weekend at home. Hubby starts his next semester of classes today, and we spent the whole weekend hearing about the impending doom brought by the largest ice storm the southeast USA has ever seen (read: Not a drop of snow or ice all weekend, and as of Monday, still waiting. It'll probably be nothing, but my mother, bless her, freaks out about the weather.) So we just stayed in and took some baby steps towards finishing some tasks.
We finally broke in our bread machine, one of our wedding gifts from my bridesmaid and her parents. We had one when I was growing up, and I loved having fresh homemade bread hot out of the machine, so I added one onto our registry. A few weeks back, we bought a honey whole wheat box mix and yesterday, we finally brought the machine out of the box and got it started. It was easy to use, and when all was said and done, we were left with a nice 1.5lb loaf of bread, hot and fresh. It was a bit crustier than I usually like, but still good. Nothing quite like fresh bread.
I managed to add another game to my list for #92: Professor Layton and the Unwound Future. I love the Professor Layton series. It's a popular game for the DS that's nothing but puzzles and riddles. There's always a mystery associated with it, but you're not really solving it. You mainly explore around, try to find the puzzles in the world, and as you complete them, you'll unravel the mystery. It's usually a little unsatifying in that sense because they'll pull some of the answers out of no where (mention a name that never came up before), but it's always a good story with surprisingly good animation for a DS game, and I love puzzles. I don't really give a damn about story (although it helps), I just like solving the puzzles.
In any case, that's three games down. I know my task read 50%, but I think I'm going to make a minor change - To finish the 55 games I have down. I keep getting more, and more keep coming out, so getting to that mystical 50% is going be hard as it keeps going up. It's probably closer to 60 games to complete now. I need to go over my list again. In any case, I'm going to make finishing 50% my secondary goal. 55 games finished is nothing to bat an eye at. The next one I'm shooting for is Fallout: New Vegas. I think I'm getting close to the end now. Maybe I'll try and put the final pin in that one this weekend.
