Slow Week

Nothing accomplished along the lines of the list this week. Saturday, Hubby and I had a date night - we went to see True Grit in theaters (AWESOME movie, I know who I'm cheering for to get the Oscar. Jeff Bridges is an incredible actor.) and got dinner at Five Guys after (best burgers. Period.) Unfortunately, I already had my T movie, so no improvement there.

Sunday we spent the entire day hammering, screwing, and cussing at our new bookshelf as we assembled it. It's a 10-shelf double-wide unit. It took from 1:45 to 10:00 to assemble. We also moved one large bookshelf into my office and filled it with our DVDs, and I moved our CDs and DS games onto the CD/DVD rack that previously held the DVDs. Now, pretty much everything's together. All of our games and books are on the new bookshelf, the DVDs on another, and our CDs and DS games in one place. All in all, we had 2 large bookcases, 1 small bookcase, and 2 CD/DVD rocks, and we now are using 1 extra-large bookcase, 1 large bookcase, and 1 CD/DVD rack. Because they match, we're keeping the other. It'll be good to have for overflow. After all that building, I was SORE! It was worth it, though. Our home is starting to look more like a married couple's apartment than a college student's place.

Next Friday, I'm taking off work to go down south and meet Juliebean. She had a minor heart condition after birth that kept her on oxygen at the hospital and in the NICU for a few days. It seems to have fixed itself up, as yesterday, 6 days after she was born, she finally got to go home. I can't wait to meet this little girl. She's too perfect for words :)
