Recalculating...

I realized something yesterday. Something I probably should have realized at the start of this challenge. I wanted to beat 55 video games in 1001 days. A quick math calculation comes up with a number I never thought of: 18.2. To beat this challenge, I would have had to beat one game every 18.2 days at the start. I've beaten 4 games thus far. There's 745 days left.

Result: One game beaten every two weeks (14.6 days) for the next two years.

Yeah, that? That's not happening. The majority of my game collection, and games that I like, require many hours of work to beat, some ranging from 50 to 100 hours. I would probably need to play the equivalent of two hours every day to reach this goal, and that's assuming I'm halfway through some of them.

I don't know what I'm going to do from here. Maybe ABC video games (beat one game for every letter of the alphabet). Maybe cut it down to 25 to 30 games. I don't know. I think tonight I'm going to sit down with my video game database, update it, take a good long look at what I'm working with and try to figure out something that's actually physically possible without killing my love of games or using up all of my free time.

On a more upbeat note, I weighed myself yesterday and I'm down 3 of the 10 pounds I want to lose! Yay!
