It's already too cold for me. The sun's out, not a cloud in the sky, and it's cold. It's only been fall for what, two weeks? I'm not used to this immediate weather change as soon as the season rolls over. Can we have a few more weeks before I have to pull out my sweaters please?
Finished the second book of the Song of Fire and Ice series and my 9th book last weekend, A Clash of Kings. I found out yesterday that the series is supposed to be 7 books. There are currently 4 with the 5th on the way. Torture. I hope some of my favorite character's storylines get tied up before the end of the fourth. I don't wanna wait to find out what will happen to them. It's like the Harry potter books all over again...
When we get back from our next trip after next week, I'm planning on going to the bank to see what kind of mortgage we could hope to get pre-approved for. I'm ready to start taking the steps towards my big-ticket task: getting a house. I don't know what sort of thing I'm going to hear, but I want to hear it whether it's good or bad, so we can start doing what we need to. I'm tired of apartments. Ours is wonderful, but darnit, I want a house!
