Earthquake
Soooo... I just felt my first ever earthquake. If you live on the east coast or are following the news, you're probably already aware a 5.8 magnitude struck in VA about an hour from Richmond. It was felt from south NC to Canada. We had just gotten back from a farewell lunch for my coworker who's moving on to bigger and better (also finishing #13 at the restaurant Vita) and she and I were talking in her office when we felt the whole building start to shake. We're on the 3rd floor of a 10 floor office building, so we didn't know WTF. It shook for about 30 seconds with all of us wondering what was going on. A few second after it stopped, I heard my office phone ringing. Hubby was calling to ask if we'd gotten any letters about construction on our building, because our apartment was shaking. Holy crap, we both realized, we just had our first earthquake. Well, my first, Hubby may have been through one before. I'm not sure. Anyway, wow. That was...new.
