Update

So, is it time for an update yet? I turned 26 today. On towards the second half of my twenties. Can you think of a better time to do some re-evaluating? Cause that's what this blog needs.

People change over time. It's been nearly two years since I started this little adventure, and since November, it's kinda fell to the back burner. The only things I've done lately were finally finishing #10 with Hubby's Christmas gift, watched a few new movies for #31 (New Police Story and Wheels on Meals), a few video games for #92, and a new flavor of ice cream for #107 (coconut cream pie ice cream? Um, yes please!)

After buying the house, we just had to put so much into making it livable, the list got put on hold as many of the remaining things require time and money, and we didn't have either of those. We barely do now, but now? My priorities are changing. A lot of the things left on my list I'm losing interest in for the moment, or ever for some of the less required ones. Maybe this week would be a good time to sit down and rework my list. Come up with 51 new things I REALLY want to do to versus having 51 things I'm just tired of looking at on my list.

It's funny though, to look back on this list and see how I've changed over two years by what I've done, what I wanted to do, what else I accomplished. And I'm happy with a lot of those changes. I've made new friends and gotten in touch with my creative side again, which, really, was what I wanted to do most of all when I started. It's why I called this blog "Finding Me Again". And I finally found the me I was missing. Even if I've basically failed at this day zero list (not completing some of the regularly scheduled items), I'm happy. I succeeded at what I meant to do. And now it's time to make some changes for the better.

Still a procrastinator though.

  1. Have fun coming up with 51 things you want to do now. No need to cling to a list of things you don't want to do now or don't have the means to do. Be proud of the things you have done. I need to look at my list again and get going again.

    Oh, and Happy Birthday!

  2. That seems like a very sensible idea, rather than put pressure on yourself to do things you aren't bothered about, have fun re-working it! And happy birthday! I hope it's a great one :D
