So, I'm alive. I know I haven't posted much, but not much has been happening. Hubby and I have been hard at work making the house liveable (drapes finally went up this weekend on our double doors, most of the pictures hung, etc), we got a new sofa for our game room (so we can stop sitting on the floor), and we've been basically settling. I think I can officially mark 48 (decorate the house) done now. I'm getting to a point on my day zero list where I'm not as interested in doing what remains anymore. Some of them are still holding my interest, but most of them, not so much.
I've added a few more games to my "completed" list since my last update, making 16 games done out of 25. I finished the new Super Mario for the 3DS, Kirby's Mass Attack (DS) Kirby's Return to Dreamland (Wii co-op with Hubby) and Contact (DS). I started Contact YEARS ago, quit at the last level, and didn't go back. I tried to pick up where I left off but was so lost I couldn't, so I restarted. Funny thing, I finished it almost 4 years to the day of the last time I had played it. Now it's out of the way, I've got a bunch more to move to. 9 games remain!
Hubby and I technically completed #26. I learned on Pinterest that you can buy green onions, plant them in a cup with water (no soil needed) and put them in a sunny spot, and they'll grow on their own. Sure enough, they took off! And last week, we finally took a cutting and used it in a dish. I also learned that green onions make your eyes water just as bad as regular onions. Who knew? Not this chick.
The drawing contest with A and me didn't end up working out. I'm too lazy, and the detail A was putting into hers required three days to make a picture she was happy with (and that I couldn't compare to). She's still going, but I didn't last a week :( I'm going to try and keep drawing every now and then to fill up my sketchbook, but I'm realizing that much of my drawing in high school was simply out of jealousy of all my friends who drew well. I'm a writer. That's my forte, it's what I love, and the time I could spend drawing would be better spent writing and plotting. The few days I was drawing, it felt more like a chore.
I'm majorly looking forward to March. With a lot of help from Hubby, my mom and I got tickets to see Elton John! I've been to at least three of his concerts with her, and I'm looking forward to my fourth :) We missed our chance when he came through her hometown a year ago. Now we've got perfect seats! I can't wait! And the next day, there's a craft fair right around the corner from our house, so we're planning on going to that too! I can't wait!!
I'll try and get better about updating again. I've kinda been sucked in by Pinterest and my forum and have spent less time around Blogger.
Damn, girl, I almost forgot you had a blog. I just happened to remember today! xD
ReplyDeleteAs for me still going...not so much? I haven't drawn in weeks! Actually, that's the reason I even landed here today. I was staring at the blank page, wondering what to draw, and I decided to check that prompt spreadsheet, and remembered that you had a blog that I'm supposed to be reading! XD Yes, IKR, I'm so diligent. =P ^^)
