So I've talked about my writing competition with A before. That's been going well. She's winning on points (ie: She is DESTROYING ME on points), I'm winning on completion. Last week, we found someone suggesting an interesting idea: 100 Days, 100 Drawings. Just like it sounds, draw 100 pictures over 100 days. A and I have been talking about drawing a lot lately, and I have #30 looming (Fill a sketchbook with drawings or doodles). So, after a very short conversation that pretty much boiled down to
Me: Hey, look at this.
A: That sounds AWESOME!
Me: Wanna try it together?
A: Yes!
we decided to take on the challenge between each other. What we decided to do was to each come up with 40 drawing ideas. Then we would combine our lists, randomize them, and add in 20 "Free days" to draw whatever we liked. We finish and randomized our list yesterday, and we decided we're going to start on December 26th. Our list is...a little sadistic. We're going to end up with hands cramping, lots of yelling at the paper or screen for about why it's not making the picture in our heads, and probably a good amount of tears, at least from me after too many erase marks scar a page.
Again, I find myself asking, what the HELL have I gotten myself into?
Well, hopefully, after the 100 days are done, maybe I'll be able to draw a little bit better than I currently can. Cause I kinda suck at it now.
That sounds like a lot of fun. A few of my friends and I have talked about doing the same. How is it going so far?
